Isn't this just another thing to fail?
|
 | Yes it is. We are not going to lie to you, but so is your regulator, your tail step down, your onboard glow driver, your cool thing-a-ma-bob. Hey do you want to rock or line dance?
What Transmitter / Receiver is the Overdrive SX compatible with?
|
| | 99% of all of them, 1% we dont know about. Since the Overdrive SX sits between your servos and Receiver (or FBL system)
it receives frames that would normaly go to your servos. The Overdrive SX receives them just fine since they are standard.
|
Can I use Analog Servos with Overdrive Technology?
|
 | No! The Overdrive technology was specificaly engineered to take advantage of the high update
rates available on Digital servos. Analog servos can not handle this high update rate, and will
get hot and burn out almost immediately.
|
Will Overdrive Technology wear out my servos prematurely?
|
 | Not if you are using Quality Digital servos. Digital servos are speced to take even higher
frame rates. See this link for a few servo frame rate specs:

Can the Overdrive SX be used with a FBE such as the Skookum 360 or the V-Bar?
|
 | Yes. Putting the Overdrive SX between the FBE and the servos will increase the accuracy of the FBE unit.
When the FBE is trying to command the servos to position to counteract pitching up or to hold a steady path,
the servos will respond much faster and hold with more torque.

Whats the difference beween EXP (on the DX7) vs SinBoost?
|
 | To the best of our knowledge, EXP is an undocumented feature that tries to make your servo movements linear.
Although similar outcome, the EXP will adjust your curves (if you look at the graph) and maintain each endpoint. SinBoost
on the other hand has a formula thats been modified to give linear results without much affect around center.
|
Whats the difference beween the Overdrive SX and Futaba's FASST HS Mode?
|
 | Lets see, whats faster than fasst? The Overdrive SX is! Futaba's FASST HS Mode updates your servos at 7ms. The
Overdrive SX updates at 250Hz, over a 100 more updates per second! Now don't forget the Overdrive SX has
SinBoost, and TrueSync, setting it even further
ahead of the competition.
|
Isn't SinBoost just a fancy word for Expo?
|
 | NO! Wait, uh, NO! Expo works at the inside of the curve, aka stick center. Technicaly expo can give you similar results,
however, to get it truly linear, your sticks will be so freakin mushy around center, you will give up helis and go fly gliders.
Now SinBoost works at the ends of the curve, aka stick extents. SinBoost will continue to move the servo to make it have a linear
output. See this link for more info on SinBoost
